A video to watch when be caught in the grip of anxiety or panic. The thing that struck me about the conversation on the radio (that prompted the video) was how little solutions the people talking about it had, and how they went to medication over meditation, to cover up the symptoms instead of investigating the message. I think in our culture it's quite normalised to do that but I suppose it was a little distressing to listen to the participants validating each others views on medication. Although an understandable response, it plays right into the disempowerment of our own emotional inteligence. hopefully this vid can give a little of that back.

After our first IDBUK session in Wivenhoe last weekend, Wivenhoe reflexology was kind enough to review the experience. It was an interesting one for me personally to see how the British crowd reacted to the session, there were a lot of times I was wondering if people were "getting it"as the process itself requires an ability to give yourself to the process of yourself, meaning letting go of the body and letting it flow with its own subtle inclinations effectively, move, breathe, shake, shout, cry, laugh, even dance if that's what is being called. Not always easy for a society that has manners, politeness and a proper way to act so deeply ingrained in the collective cultural psyche.

Then there's the process of observation that aims to alchemise self consciousness into self awareness. It was different with English people in England (as opposed to those I've done with abroad) there was a bit more anxiety here about whether it was being done right. It helped me learn to put a greater emphasis on permissions to open up the body completely in future sessions and tailor the introductions to that effect as IDB evolves to find it right audience.

I was very touched by the sincerity of the participants, it helped me understand better where I might be of some use to people here; perhaps in helping bring about a dialogue that peels back layers restricting the body's free-flow of movement and the extent of its cathartic ability to exorcise emotional authenticity, help restore a trust in our own inner guidance system and bodies to know what is natural, right and true for us at any one time.

All in all I felt deeply humbled by the amount of people that turned out on such short notice, and how they allowed themselves to journey inwards despite the temperature! Thanks again for your presence and support, I look forward to more!

A video that investigates what we think we know, holding on, letting go, intention setting, and closing off the gifts that might be delivered to because we're so set on what we think we know about what we want and need. Basically a little extension on the Chinese proverb of good luck bad luck. You can google it, its a good one.
